Secondary School Burger Competition

About the Competition

The Secondary School Burger Competition is a culmination of 12-15 lessons based on a comprehensive Teacher Resource Kit, designed to lead food technology students through the process of designing, testing and perfecting a burger. Schools then select their best junior student (years 9 and 10) and best senior student (years 11, 12 and 13) to represent them at the regional finals at the end of Term Two. Winners from each region then go on to compete in the grand final in Term Three.

Tuesday 19th June - Hawkes Bay at EIT, Taradale

Friday 22nd June - Taranaki/Wanganui/Manawatu at UCOL in Wanganui

Friday 22nd June - Wellington/Wairarapa/Kapiti at Weltec in Wellington

Wednesday 27th June - Auckland at MIT, Otara

Grand Final in Term 3 - Monday 24th September at MIT, Otara, Auckland
