The 'Iron Brion Barbecue Roadshow' is currently on a national tour and can visit your school. The show, including the barbecue is one hour long and is FREE to your school.

Through the medium of our 'Iron Brion Barbecue Roadshow', Beef + Lamb New Zealand is encouraging children to think about a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet and exercise.

We have put considerable thought into this area, and feel the best way to promote a healthy relationship between food and children is through interactive, hands-on, fun activity. Thus the rap-singing, dancing, 'Iron Brion' character was developed.

The show is high energy and action-packed, and conveys a holistic healthy lifestyle message to children in a way that's both fun and educational. Iron Brion teaches the children about topics such as the four different food groups, the importance of exercise and breakfast, and iron in the diet. At the end of the show the children each get a barbecued beef burger. And best of all, it's completely free to the schools involved.

A teacher resource has been developed to accompany the 'Iron Brion' concept. This contains a full unit of work designed specifically around the health and physical education and technology components of the school curriculum for Years 3 and 4. It includes activities for before and after Iron Brion's visit and is sent to your school upon confirmation of your booking.
