Shepherd's Pie

Preparation Time: 15 - 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 500g Quality Mark beef or lamb mince
  • 1 Tbsp oil
  • 1 425g can of prepared pasta sauce
  • 1 stick celery, finely chopped
  • 100g mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 carrot, finely chopped
  • 1 zucchini, finely chopped
  • 2 cups mashed potato

Method:

  • Brown mince in oil. Drain off excess liquid. Stir in pasta sauce, celery, mushrooms, carrot and zucchini. Cover and simmer gently for 15 minutes.
  • Spoon sauce into a pie dish. Top with mashed potato.
  • Bake at 180° C until top is golden - approximately 15 minutes.
  • Serve

Serve with a green salad in summer or with a fresh green vegetable in winter.
