Shepherd's Pie
Preparation Time: 15 - 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients:
- 500g Quality Mark beef or lamb mince
- 1 Tbsp oil
- 1 425g can of prepared pasta sauce
- 1 stick celery, finely chopped
- 100g mushrooms, sliced
- 1 carrot, finely chopped
- 1 zucchini, finely chopped
- 2 cups mashed potato
Method:
- Brown mince in oil. Drain off excess liquid. Stir in pasta sauce, celery, mushrooms, carrot and zucchini. Cover and simmer gently for 15 minutes.
- Spoon sauce into a pie dish. Top with mashed potato.
- Bake at 180° C until top is golden - approximately 15 minutes.
- Serve
Serve with a green salad in summer or with a fresh green vegetable in winter.
