BE IN TO WIN A VISIT FROM STACEY WAAKA

At Beef + Lamb New Zealand, we’re all about Good Times and Good Food. This winter, we’re taking that mission straight to the heart of Kiwi communities. Tell us why your rugby or league club deserves a visit from Stacey Waaka and the Lamb Cruiser and be in to win!

Stacey will attend a kids’ skills and drills session hosted by your club during the July school holidays, followed by a BBQ where she can connect with players and families, take photos, and just hang out.

We ask your club to provide:

  • Access to fields and facilities (kitchen and toilets, club rooms if raining)

  • 3–4 coaches/helpers to run the session

  • Up to 50 children aged 8–12 years

  • A Health & Safety lead on the day

  • BBQ equipment (if available, otherwise we can bring this)

We will provide:

  • Stacey Waaka for up to 60 minutes at the session

  • A post-training BBQ with delicious New Zealand beef burgers

  • A t-shirt and drink bottle for each child (up to 50 attendees)

  • Spot prizes

  • Professional photo and video content from the event

FAQs

  • We never let a little bit of water get in the way of a good time! Unless there’s a severe weather event, we’ll go ahead rain or shine. We just might need access to the clubrooms to dry off and enjoy our burgers inside.

  • We’ll work with the winning clubs to find a time during the July school holidays that suits both the club and Stacey Waaka. She is the guest of honour after all!

The holidays run from Saturday 4 July to Sunday 19 July and the best days and times will be during the week.

  • Absolutely! If the timing works out, the easiest thing would be for Stacey to show up to your regular training and join in with skills and drills. We’ll bring along burgers for everyone afterwards too.

  • For safety reasons we need to limit the number of participants to 50 kids aged 8-12 years.

    • Access to fields and facilities (kitchen and toilets, club rooms if raining).

    • 3–4 coaches/helpers to run the session.

    • Up to 50 children aged 8–12 years and signed consent forms for each child (supplied).

    • A Health & Safety lead on the day.

    • BBQ equipment (if available, otherwise we can bring this).

  • We’ll work with the winning clubs to decide exactly what will happen, but as a rough guide we suggest:

    1. Club coaches welcome and start warm ups.

    2. Set up 4 x skills and drills stations.

    3. Divide kids into 4 groups and each group goes to a station.

    4. Stacey arrives and joins one station, working with the group there.

    5. After 10 mins the groups rotate, each getting a chance to work with Stacey.

    6. Play two 10min games.

    7. Finish with a group photo and barbecue of New Zealand beef burgers.
