EWE’VE NEVER SEEN AN SUV LIKE THIS: BEEF + LAMB NEW ZEALAND X PACIFIC TOYOTA UNVEIL THE ‘LAMB CRUISER’

In a move that combines the unmatched nutritional power of New Zealand’s finest pastures with the legendary reliability of Japan, Beef + Lamb New Zealand and Pacific Toyota have pulled the covers off the season’s most unique performance vehicle: The Lamb Cruiser.

The legendary Toyota Land Cruiser Prado has been reimagined as the ultimate support vehicle for the New Zealand roadie. Driven by Beef + Lamb Ambassador and rugby super star Stacey Waaka, the Lamb Cruiser is heading on a tour of the region’s beaches, rugby clubs, and barbecues to put both the Prado’s torque and New Zealand lamb’s recovery credentials to the taste test.

“We wanted to create something that celebrates performance in a way Kiwis understand,” says Chris Bussenschutt, CEO at Pacific Toyota. “The Prado is built to go the distance. Beef and lamb help people do the same. It’s a natural pairing.”

GET THE SPEC: POWER, PROVENANCE, AND PROTEIN

  • THE CHASSIS: A bespoke Pacific Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, finished in a ‘Limited Edition’ livery that’s designed for the driver who knows their diff-locks as well as their dry-rubs. It is the only vehicle in the Bay capable of looking equally at home on a remote surf beach or parked outside a high-performance training centre.

  • THE POWER: While the Toyota has a sophisticated, efficient engine, Waaka is fuelled by New Zealand beef and lamb. We are talking full-throttle flavour and a bio-available iron delivery system capable of explosive torque in the tackle and a 0-to-ruck clearance in under two seconds.

  • THE MISSION: Good times, good food, good fuel. Because good things start with New Zealand Beef + Lamb when you’re going places.

“I love the Lamb Cruiser,” says Stacey Waaka. "I’m looking forward to taking it to the beach with my whānau, enjoying the sun with good times, and some good kai."

The Lamb Cruiser will be popping up at summer hotspots across the Bay of Plenty. Keep your eyes on our socials to see what Waaka and the Cruiser are up to.
